Accessibility
Information about using our website and reporting barriers. Statement and latest technical review: 9 October 2026.
About this website
This information covers deutscheshausmunster.de, including its German and English pages. The website provides information about Hotel Deutsches Haus, Hotel Stadt Munster, rooms, the restaurant, menus, events, local attractions and vacancies.
Labelled forms let you submit non-binding contact, table, booking, event and job application enquiries. After choosing the type of enquiry, complete the required fields and submit the form. Missing or invalid entries are identified next to the relevant field and in an error summary; successful delivery is confirmed on the page. An enquiry is not a binding booking or reservation confirmation.
To book online directly, select one of the hotels in the booking dialog. The external Viato booking service then opens in a new tab. This website is provided by Deutsches Haus Hotel- & Gaststätten-Betriebs-GmbH; full details are available in the legal notice.
Support for accessible use
We develop the website around the principles of perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, provide technical guidance. This is our development benchmark, not a statement of fully verified conformance.
- Headings, page landmarks and skip links support navigation; informative images have alternative text.
- Navigation, forms and dialogs support keyboard operation. Visible focus indicators identify the current position. Dialogs can be closed with Escape and restore focus to the triggering control.
- Forms have associated labels, identified required fields and understandable error messages. Form protection does not require solving image or arithmetic puzzles.
- The layout adapts to different screen sizes. Browser features can enlarge text. Motion respects the reduced-animation preference.
- Primary buttons use white text on a darkened gold background. The checked text contrast is at least 4.5:1.
Review status and limitations
This information is based on a technical self-assessment combining automated checks with manual keyboard and layout checks on desktop, tablet and smartphone. The latest supplementary review took place on 9 October 2026. A complete independent assessment of every WCAG criterion and every combination of browsers and assistive technologies has not been carried out. We therefore do not claim unrestricted accessibility.
Historical photographs and other images may contain embedded lettering that is not fully available as text. Images have descriptive alternative text; further information is available on request.
The external Viato booking service and linked map and social-media services are outside the scope of our technical review. Their operation and accessibility may differ. If you encounter difficulties there, our team can help through the contact methods below.
