Transparency about data use

Privacy notice

This privacy notice explains how we process personal data on our website. Last updated: 14 July 2026.

1. Privacy at a glance

Personal data is any information that can identify you. We process only the data required to deliver the website technically or to handle your enquiry.

This website uses no analytics, tracking or marketing cookies and does not automatically embed external maps, fonts or social-media widgets.

2. Controller

Deutsches Haus Hotel- & Gaststätten-Betriebs-GmbH
Friedrich-Heinrich-Platz 1
29633 Munster
Phone: +49 (0) 5192 98900
Email: info@deutscheshausmunster.de

3. Technical delivery and server logs

The website and its editorial system are operated on commissioned server infrastructure within the European Union. Technically necessary log data may be processed when you access the site, particularly the IP address, time, requested address, HTTP status, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating system.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to deliver the service securely, reliably and without errors. Logs are not used for advertising or profiling and are deleted when they are no longer required for operation and security. Statutory retention duties and the preservation of evidence following a security incident remain unaffected.

4. Enquiries by form, email and telephone

For contact, table, booking and event enquiries, we process the contact and request data you provide so that we can assess and answer your enquiry. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to pre-contractual or contractual enquiries; otherwise, processing is based on our legitimate interest in efficient communication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The form transfers your details to our server over encrypted HTTPS. The server sends them through our business STRATO mailbox to the staff responsible for the relevant request. The system uses only our own email address as sender and your address only as Reply-To. No automatic confirmation email is sent.

Form data is not stored in the website database. After delivery, it remains in the operational mailbox. Messages that are not relevant to a contract or statutory retention obligation are deleted no later than six months after final processing. Longer legally required periods apply where an enquiry leads to a contract or retention obligations exist.

5. Applications

For applications, we process contact details, the requested working area and your message to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis is Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Please do not submit information that is unnecessary for the application.

Any further application documents can be arranged directly with our team if required. If no employment follows, application data is generally deleted no later than six months after the procedure ends unless legal reasons or a separate agreement require otherwise.

6. Protection against automated enquiries

To protect forms from misuse, we use an invisible empty field, a non-binding completion-time check and limits per network address. The client IP is transformed with a server-only key into a value that does not store the address in plain text. Counters are deleted after 15 minutes or, at the latest, after 24 hours. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in website security and availability under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7. Recipients and data processors

Only staff responsible for reception, the restaurant, events or recruitment may access the relevant enquiries. Technical recipients may include the contractually appointed hosting provider and STRATO as provider of the business mailbox. Form data is not shared with third parties for analytics or advertising.

8. Cookies, local storage and audience measurement

The public website sets no analytics, marketing or language-selection cookies and stores no corresponding identifiers in the browser. The selected language follows from the URL. A consent banner is therefore not planned for the current functionality.

A secure, technically necessary preview cookie may be set only for authorised editors after they explicitly start a content preview. It is used solely to display unpublished content in advance.

9. External booking, directions and social-media services

Booking links lead to Viato's external booking service. Direction links open Google Maps, and profile links lead to Instagram or Facebook. The respective external website is contacted only after you click. Its privacy terms then apply, and technical access data may be transferred to that provider.

10. Locally hosted media and fonts

Images, the heathland video, icons and the Montserrat font are delivered by this website itself. Loading a page therefore creates no additional connection to Google Fonts, Font Awesome or a video platform.

11. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent with future effect and object, for reasons relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact info@deutscheshausmunster.de.

12. Updates to this notice

We update this privacy notice when our data processing, service providers or legal requirements change. The version published on this website is the current version.
