A path full of milestones

Deutsches Haus Munster

The history of our house is a wonderful example of community, sociability, and tradition. Here, you can feel the warm and caring spirit that makes you feel welcome right away. Originally, around 1700, it was a farm that operated the town's first tavern, offering a place of fellowship to thirsty farmers, journeymen, and travelers.

Our close connection to the fire department in Munster and the many anniversaries we have celebrated define the "Deutsche Haus." The military has also found its home here.

Around 1850, the Böttcher family transformed the business into a cozy hotel and restaurant. In our rustic dining room, we still serve freshly prepared, regional dishes today. In 1972, the Fraenkel family took over the "Deutsche Haus," and since 1983, Cornelia and Günther Fraenkel have been the managing directors.
